Job description

Applications are invited for the post of Project Officer with the Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training Partnership (M4C DTP). The M4C DTP is an Arts and Humanities Research Council funded (AHRC) consortium of eight Midlands Universities supporting up to five hundred PhD researchers across the breadth of arts and humanities research.
One of two Project Officers within the M4C management and administration team the purpose of the role is to ensure the successful delivery of the Midlands4Cities consortium programme. The role holder will work closely with the M4C DTP Manager, Finance Manager and Placements and Partnerships Manager. The role holder will report to the M4C DTP Manager, based in the Researcher Academy at the University of Nottingham, and work closely with a range of colleagues across the consortium universities and partner organisations.
Your background will ideally include first-hand experience of co-ordinating multiple projects within a wider programme. Stakeholder liaison is a key part of the role so excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience of building relationships and working across multiple universities are essential. Effective planning and delivering to set deadlines are a crucial part of the role together with the confidence to problem solve to help achieve the outcomes of the DTP programme.
Applicants should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have a proven track record of extensive relevant work experience. An ability to handle sensitive and confidential data and issues is also essential. An awareness of the Higher Education sector, University decision making structures and procedures is desirable and previous experience of managing the design, promotion, and delivery of events.
The University has developed a clear set of core expectations and behaviours that the role holder will be expected to demonstrate and evidence of these will be considered in addition to skills, knowledge and experience during the selection process.
This is a part-time (21.75 hours), permanent post with underlying funding to 30th September 2028.
