As an integral role within the On Trade Leadership Team your mission is to shape and influence the commercial agenda and standard of excellence across the Multiple Pub Operator sub-channel through collaboration with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
Meaningful Work From Day One
Reporting into the National On Trade Retail Manager this role requires a significant amount of influence and an ability to lead, inspire and nurture a team whilst effectively implementing strategies to lead growth across the sub-channel. The role is a national based sales role responsible for a team of 5 Regional Account Executives. You will formulate and guide the commercial priorities and broader plans, be a champion and driver for continuous improvement to enhance the commercial capabilities within the team, ensuring excellent execution of our plans to deliver recognizable results. An important part of this role will be to maintain close relationships within your peer set to harmonize on strategic national and regional trends which may be relevant to your customer base.
What You Can Expect
  • Develop Commercial and Strategic Planning - provide input and influence the Channel’s vision together with designing, communicating and leading the MPO strategic direction, business and portfolio goals with assigned projects as necessary
  • Lead the Development of the Team - provide supportive leadership direction to strengthen commercial capabilities and motivate the team to to make an active contribution and feel valued, together with supporting the Channel Controller & HR with succession planning
  • Championship of Business Development - prioritise key customer partnerships and maintain a first class network of key influencers whilst identifying new business development opportunities
  • Manage the Sub-Channel P&L - operate inline with the commercial guardrails and oversee the control of the investments, maximising the impact of customer negotiations to proactively drive growth and gain share
  • Own the S&B process - rigor and discipline of the Sales Business & Planning process for sales forecasting, customer account planning, analysis to continuously improve, yielding maximum effectiveness and impact
What You Bring to the Table
  • Experience in FMCG industry with understanding of the alcohol channel dynamics
  • Strong, progressive sales and account management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering brand growth in a highly competitive environment
  • Strong understanding of the On Trade channel and route to market, supporting the business sales and planning process through accurate forecasting, with an attention to detail
  • Self-motivator, high energy people leader who is comfortable dealing with strategic issues as well as hands on day-to-day management skills
  • Cross functional collaboration, with excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills to operate at a high level of professionalism and effectiveness
  • Visionary with an entrepreneurial mindset and an eye for new opportunities, to exceed the plan and bring long-term strategic insight
  • Strong computer skills with current, or the ability to quickly build, proficiency in Google Workspace
