Overview:
Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a Secondary School based in the Portsmouth area on a long-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be teaching Music to students in KS3 and KS4, working in a supportive department.

The school is based close to the Portsmouth area for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 900 students in total. The school prides itself on its high teaching standards as well as a friendly and enthusiastic team who collaborate on all aspects of teaching. The school place great value in their staff and offer loads of support to its team. The school site also has free parking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver inspiring and engaging music lessons to students across different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach various aspects of music including theory, history, practical skills, and performance techniques.
- Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages students' musical development and self-expression.
- Organise and oversee music events, concerts, and performances to showcase students' achievements.
- Provide guidance and support to students preparing for music exams, competitions, and auditions.
Requirements:
- Qualified Music Teacher with relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
- Proficiency in playing and teaching a range of musical instruments and music theory.
- Passion for music education and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in leading ensembles, choirs, or orchestras is desirable.
