As the Neighbourhood Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Neighbourhood Services team to deliver exceptional service and enhance resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business and service improvement plans to achieve corporate goals and targets. Provide strategic direction to ensure effective neighbourhood management and reception services.
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the Neighbourhood Services team, setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations, including reception services, building management, void management, and back-office administration. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and tenancy/lease terms.
Customer Focus: Deliver high-quality, responsive services that meet residents' needs and enhance satisfaction levels. Champion equality, diversity, and resident involvement in decision-making processes.
Performance Management: Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance service delivery and efficiency. Regularly report on key performance indicators.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and community organizations, to deliver joined-up services and drive continuous improvement.
Budget Management: Manage budgets effectively, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve value for money. Assist in budget planning and oversee procurement processes.
Innovation and Improvement: Champion innovation and creativity in service design and delivery. Proactively identify service weaknesses and implement changes to drive performance improvement.
ABOUT YOU
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within local government or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Sound knowledge of housing management, health and safety regulations, and relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive performance improvement.
- Budget management experience and a focus on value for money.
