Network Operational Support Plant & Equipment Team Administrator

Northern Gas Networks have an exciting opportunity for a Network Operational Support Plant and Equipment Team Administrator based at our offices in Leeds or York for a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Network Operational Services Plant and Equipment Team Administrator will support all day-to-day operational inbound requests (internal and external) for plant hire, traffic management and other associated tasks in the operational goods and services category. With this team you will be recognised as a key contact for all internal stakeholders and external supplier queries.
The Network Operational Services Plant and Equipment Administrator will also play a key role in the governance and administration of the hire process and any FWOW initiatives.
Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include
• You will manage all inbound requests (internal and external) via telephone and email for hire desk activity (plant hire and traffic management) to include but will not be limited to new hire requests, exchanges, breakdowns, loss, damages, write offs and amendments and variations to inflight orders as well as general queries
• Reconciliation of internal and external data in preparation for payment utilising supplier live hire, S4 Hana Reporting, consolidated billing and generating auto SES Creation and acceptance reporting
• Adhoc purchases of tools, equipment, and services to include securing quotations and obtaining commercial value
• Using S4 Hana, maintain accurate records (doc type specific) and access information in support of departmental activities. i.e.: Purchase Order Creation, create service entry sheet record accurate off hire information, make adjustments and amendments to purchase order activity
• Compile and provide routine information using computer systems as necessary in accordance with relevant procedures and guidelines
• Support the TOTEX Business Programme Performance Manager to deliver Operational Team Objectives and ensure adherence to the NGN Procurement Policies and Processes including maintaining commercial confidentiality of supplier rates and spend
What are we looking for in our Team Administrator
• You will have strong influencing skills and be able to communicate at all levels both written and orally
• Experience in the Plant Hire and Traffic Management sector would be highly advantageous
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to make decisions and resolve issues
• Your time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment will allow you to succeed in this role
• You will possess the ability to scrutinise and challenge processes in a positive way to root out best practice
• SAP experience would be desirable as would commercial acumen in purchasing
• Experience in using Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word & Outlook
