Job description

New Business Executive

Location: Remote (1-2 days a month in Cheltenham)

Salary: Dependant on Experience

Company Overview: I am working with a leading national Insurance Broker providing comprehensive insurance solutions to businesses across the country. With a strong reputation for exceptional service and a diverse portfolio of clients, they are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven New Business Director to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving New Business growth, specifically focusing on commercial insurance. The position offers a competitive salary, car allowance, and an attractive commission structure. The role is hybrid, requiring you to spend time both in the office and out on the road.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential New Business opportunities in the commercial insurance market, utilizing various lead generation methods including networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
  • Build and nurture a robust pipeline of prospects, consistently expanding the client base and driving revenue growth.
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis and risk assessments for potential clients, understanding their unique requirements and tailoring insurance solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospects, effectively articulating the value proposition and differentiating our offerings from competitors.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including underwriters and account managers, to develop customized insurance programs and ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance professional network and represent the company effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in New Business development, preferably within the commercial insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and the ability to effectively communicate their features, benefits, and terms to clients.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships and close deals.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively as required.
  • Any relevant industry certifications (e.g., CII, ACII) would be an advantage.
