The joint Corporate Communications and Engagement department at Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is undergoing an exciting transformation to ensure it operates more agilely and proactively to deliver organisational priorities.
The high-performing team provides a multidisciplinary communications and engagement service for the two blue light services, delivering activity across news and Public Affairs, digital and brand and internal and external communications campaigns and engagement.
As a result of a change programme, a number of permanent vacancies have become available across the team’s different disciplines. One of these role is News & Public Affairs Officer.
Working collaboratively to deliver communications and engagement outputs in support of police and fire priorities, the department plays a pivotal role in maintaining and building trust and public confidence.
From responding to critical incidents to developing campaigns and engagement activity that changes behaviours and keeps people safe, no two days are the same working in this fast-paced department.
