Now let us tell you about the role:
Reporting to the Site Manager you will have day to day responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the site.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety systems and procedures are communicated effectively to all staff, third parties and visitors enabling them to comply with all site rules and regulations at all times.
- To carry out site audits and Risk Assessments at required intervals and act upon the results to implement corrective actions if required. All HSW work will be monitored and audited by the Site Manager and the Compliance Manager.
- To monitor operational staffing levels ensuring all key operations are covered during Holidays, Sickness and Absence. Ensure staffing levels are correct to operate effectively within budget and to liaise with the approved Employment Agencies when cover is required.
- To ensure that waste is processed effectively, efficiently and in line with targets for waste rotation, maximised recycling and minimised landfill.
- To ensure that the operators deliver optimum performance at all times and are working within the guidelines set out by the company.
- To ensure that all operators hours are recorded correctly and communicated to the person responsible for collating and sending to payroll.
- To ensure holidays are recorded for each member of staff.
- To ensure that any changes to staff details are communicated to the HR Department in a timely manner.
- Any disciplinary issues to be discussed with the Site Manager and HR Department before the start of any proposed process.
- To provide a permanent monitoring and supervision presence on site including the yard and recycling building areas.
- To assist the Site Manager with investigations and corrective actions relating to all aspects of operations on sites including accidents, incidents and service performance failures.
