Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced candidate to join Derby City Council’s Carelink service as a Team Leader. This is a full-time role working nights (11pm – 7am, Mon – Fri) with the occasional weekend shift as and when required.
Carelink is a 24-hour emergency TSA-accredited monitoring and response service ensuring that vulnerable people have access to support at the end of the phone or at the touch of a button whenever they need it. This is your chance to work as part of a professional team dealing with a diverse customer base, including vulnerable and older adults.
Main Duties:
- Lead, develop, and supervise call handling.
- Carry out visits to older, vulnerable and disabled people and supervise installations of telecare equipment.
- Monitor individual employees’ performance and train and support new and existing team members.
- Ensure an efficient, effective, courteous and professional service is provided to all service users and ensure that the highest level of customer service standards are met and targets are achieved.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous management experience gained in a fast-moving customer care environment.
- Performance management experience and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in leading and supporting a team, ideally within a telecare environment
- An understanding of vulnerable adults and older people’s services including partner and statutory agencies.
- Customer service skills
- A full and current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work with business use
- Business vehicle insurance (Mileage will be paid)
- Enhanced Adults DBS check
