This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and resourceful individual with a high level of attention to detail to join the team at St Andrews Botanic Garden. The Trust is currently going through a period of growth with significant investment in the Garden’s infrastructure, resources and programmes. This role will play an important part in day-to-day operations and supporting the management team and Board of Trustees in the implementation of the Trust’s strategic plans. You will be working as part of a small and friendly team, and good verbal communication skills and willingness to work towards common goals are essential.
Core responsibilities
The post holder will:
- Undertake administration duties including document production, reporting and filing.
- Be responsible for ensuring Trust-wide health and safety standards are implemented, liaising with the Trust’s H&S consultant and ensuring that good standards are maintained across the site.
- Provide HR support, including maintaining HR database, recording annual leave, support for recruitment and providing staff inductions.
- Conduct procurement processes and provide support financial record keeping.
- Maintain equipment logs, asset registers, welfare supplies and office supplies.
- Provide minute taking and document services to the committees of the Board.
- Provide an efficient and guest focused service in response to email and telephone enquiries as needed.
