The role
This International Office is looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to provide essential office management assistance within the office management team. This role is full time, with hybrid working (at least 40% based in-person and on-campus), 09:00-17:00 M-F.
This role will be working within a fast-paced environment with established procedures with minimum supervision whilst providing very high-quality customer service to visitors, students and/or staff.
What will you be doing?
The post-holder will be the primary contact for face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries received by the International Office and will work closely with the Office Manager as well as provide administrative support to the Director International, the five Teams across the International Office including the Overseas Offices (and occasionally across the Division and University).
The post holder will support the development and delivery of the International Office’s objectives and administratively support the work of the various projects and activities.
You will be expected to:
- Deliver a great customer service: welcoming and assisting internal and external visitors, answering queries by phone, email, and in-person whilst being culturally aware (including occasional reception cover for the Division).
- Manage purchasing and logistical requirements: managing all purchases, invoicing and deliveries for the team, ensuring sufficient stock levels of all required items
- Support the team; Together with Office Manager assisting with/overseeing/maintaining office processes and procedures including but not limited to: on-boarding and off-boarding staff, office and storage maintenance, health and safety, cleanliness, various bookings and reservations and when additional help is needed (including events, annual leave cover, essential support during busy periods)
- Problem solve and work independently; Solve queries including those of a more complex nature, judging when to refer or involve others; and working with minimal supervision.

Previous experience of working in a customer-focused administrative or international role as well as having experience of administrative work within the Higher Education sector is desirable.
