Job description

Office Manager
28,000+ per annum (DOE)
Harwell
Our client is a developer and producer of silver-based antimicrobial surface treatments and biocompatible coatings for medical implants. Situated in the Harwell Campus.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, with a strong sub-reporting line to the Chief Finance Officer, this role demands a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a flair for independent decision-making.
Responsibilities include:
  • Management of customer invoicing and supplier purchase orders
  • Implementation of debtor and credit control measures
  • Streamlining general office administration and providing comprehensive business support
  • Oversight of facilities management and landlord-tenant affairs
  • Administration of bank accounts and invoicing, including monthly reconciliation returns
  • Coordination of employee administration and payroll services
  • Facilitation of customer product transportation, including import/export documentation
  • Conducting supplier audit checks and assisting with finance audits
  • Management of EC sales returns and coordination of company events
Candidates should possess:
  • Proficiency in Sage50 and numerical analysis
  • Demonstrated initiative in office management and business improvement initiatives
  • Adherence to quality management systems and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in foreign languages, particularly French, would be advantageous
