Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Office Manager/Finance (Full Time or Part Time) to work for a fantastic organisation in Harwell.
Role: Office Manager/Finance
Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP37,000 Per Annum based on hours and experience
Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Hours: 30 - 37.5 Hours Per Week Hybrid Working Office Hours are 08:00 - 16:00
Holiday Entitlement: 23 Days
About the role:As Office Manager/Finance your duties will be:
- Managing customer invoicing
- Handling supplier purchase orders and purchase invoicing
- Debtor and credit control
- General office administration and business support functions
- Management of facilities contractor
- Landlord-tenant administration (company premises located within Harwell licensed
- nuclear site)
- Handling bank account administration
- Handling bank account/invoice finance inputting and monthly reconciliation returns.
- Inputting supplier and customer invoices to Sage accounts using defined cost coding
- Employee administration, including liaison with outsourced payroll administrator.
- Managing customer product transportation, including import/export documentation
- (knowledge of Inward Processing Relief an advantage)
- Conducting supplier audit checks and reviews
- Assisting finance audits with external accountants
- EC sales return
- Administration of company events
About you as Office Manager/Finance
- Experience and aptitude for working in an office and business environment where there is a strong requirement for independent, proactive personal style.
- Ability to use considerable initiative in planning and implementing office management tasks to ensure effective contribution to business objectives.
- Attention to detail, task accuracy and timekeeping.
- Accurate numerical analysis and coding -Sage50 experience essential (AAT qualification would be an advantage)
- Creativity in identifying and implementing business improvement initiatives
- Appreciation of, and adherence to company quality management systems
- Excellent inter-personal and negotiation skills
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience and understanding for others (company employees, customer and supplier interactions), while also capable of operating to a disciplined, task-based approach
- Foreign languages (e.g. French) would be advantageous, though not essential.
