The O&M Engineer is a critical role within O&M of the Offshore Business focussing on assisting with the delivery of a scope of works in the UK and overseas (USA, Germany, France...), working with Contractors and multiple departments within Offshore O&M, Offshore Operations and Global Services to ensure that SPR’s/ Iberdrola long term asset value and production revenue is maximised.
What you’ll be doing
You will work as part of the team on the delivery of O&M scope of works with a number of interfaces and coordination to manage within one or more of Iberdrola’s offshore projects worldwide, providing O&M engineering support, assistance and recommendations to ensure delivery of O&M works within time, to budget and quality following industry best practice and observing the maximum respect for Health, Safety and the Environment to ensure regulatory and legal compliance
Provide advice on O&M solutions / risk levels affecting technical integrity or asset performance to the Senior or Lead O&M Engineers, to ensure that cost effective O&M solutions are identified, fully evaluated and the risk profile is fully understood by the O&M teams while Ensuring that all assessment, advice and recommendations are fully documented in accordance with all internal procedures and industry best practice, and that sufficient technical and commercial due diligence (whether internal or external) exists to support those business decisions.
We will look to you to support the delivery of an O&M scope of works and coordinate interfaces and Develop HSE strategies for O&M works and ensuring a high standard of health and safety awareness is maintained.
What you’ll bring
You will bring your knowledge of a relevant area of technical speciality (eg. Structures, cables, High Voltage, Scada, Drivetrains, Electronics, Data analysis) with Experience and understanding of technical due diligence and a background in Renewables or the power generation industry.
You will have excellent planning and analysis skills with the ability to look forward and anticipate problems and thereafter plan and implement mitigating solutions to negate the effect of such problems, and have the ability to support the management of a scope of works which require interface and coordination.
