Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance & Leasing (CBAFL) team, where you will support the Governance function in executing risk governance activities in accordance with the division’s Governance & Control Framework. Producing impactful and timely data insights for the consumption of team members, senior management and various risk committees.
Furthermore, you will also assist the team in identifying, measuring, and reporting on operational and conduct risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Risk & Compliance
- Assist with developing risk analysis, insight, and reporting around Conduct Risk areas within CBAFL to support effective conduct risk management.
- Support the production of Management Information (MI) for CBAFL, ensuring items are collated and reviewed ahead of circulation to the relevant Forums and Committees
- Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and that all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the required standards.
- Monitor Group internal audits, risk and compliance actions, and Third-Party Management actions, liaising with owners for closure.
- Conduct root cause analysis of risk events, partnering with colleagues to ensure actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
- Undertake Fraud incident monitoring and reporting.
Undertake governance reviews
- Regularly review CCA requirements for regulated agreements.
- Review adherence to CBAFL policies & procedures.
- Support product risk reviews and report accordingly to the relevant committees.
- Conduct trend analysis using available data to highlight key operational and conduct risks
- Establish and maintain a strong partnership with stakeholders
Ad-hoc
- Keep pace with regulatory changes as they occur and be aware of how these impact the business.
- Undertake procedural governance to ensure procedures are reviewed and tracked.
- MI collation, analysis, measurement and reporting for key stakeholders.
- Trackers & BI reports for management.
- Bring to the attention of senior management any areas where there is perceived regulatory risk and work with Senior Management to resolve issues.
- Remain current with FCA, CCA, OFT, FLA, other regulatory changes, and business developments.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL, BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
- Have an understanding of the end-to-end transaction process of all businesses within the Commercial Division and the associated risks and controls.
- Are able to maintain a broad knowledge of the industry and the market.
- Have experience in conducting product reviews.
- Have knowledge of the regulatory complaints process.
