What you’ll be doing
The Operational Risk team, together with the wider ERM team, is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Brit’s risk management framework, policies, and practices.
In this role you’ll support the Head of Operational Risk with overseeing, embedding, and enhancing Operational Risk management, risk culture and change initiatives. Responsibilities will include collaborating with 1st line business areas to identify and assess potential risks, propose appropriate remediation activities, and assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Day to day
Within the Operational Risk team, you’ll be accountable for Conducting risk assessments and spotlight reviews to identify potential Operational Risks, vulnerabilities, and process deficiencies and escalating these where appropriate.
Having Operational risk management experience gained within the general insurance sector and a good understanding of risk management concepts, methodologies, and frameworks.
You’ll utilise your skills to Investigate, challenge, and manage risk events, including reporting, collation of supporting documentation and ensuring appropriate remediations are embedded into business processes and controls to prevent recurrence.
