Job Description
- To support the EMEA Head of Operational Risk and Resilience goal of ensuring that the Operational Risk team in EMEA is respected as being professional and effective internally and externally
- To be part of a risk management team leading the development of risk management in the EMEA region
- To support the business's execution of the ORMF and its understanding of its OR profile and management thereof
- To support the embedding of Operational Risk and operational resilience practices and thinking into the EMEA business
- To support the business's understanding of its OR and OpRes profile and management.
- Apply a continuous improvement approach to the risk management framework
- Development, timely and effective execution of: RCSAs/ Risk Register, OREs, KRIs/ EWIs, Risk Acceptances
- Tracking and analysis of internal audit ACRs and other ORMF datapoints into themes which can inform the OR profile of the Bank and business units
- Logging, tracking to completion and analysis of issues and actions into themes which can inform the OR profile of the Bank and business units
- Lead the implementation of the local OR scenario analysis process, analyse and report results; monitor risk mitigation actions
- Implement and enhance the controls assurance framework
- Support the effective mitigation of the key risks of the bank and the business lines
- Lead the support of embedding of the OR framework and OR understanding in the business
The Successful Applicant
The Operational Risk AVP requires current Risk Management experience in a Financial Services regulated environment.
- Some demonstrable experience of Operational Risk frameworks including Operational Resilience, Culture and Conduct Risk
- Some demonstrable experience of Operational Risk management across Corporate Banking, Treasury and Investment Banking products
- Some recent experience of leading/ providing thought leadership on Operational Risk and operational resilience frameworks
- Some recent experience of developing, implementing and maintaining a proactive relationship management approach to Operational Risk and operational resilience with front office business units and functions
- Some recent experience of developing and implementing scenario analysis frameworks across the business lines and functions
- Some understanding of Operational Risk quantification models
