This role supports activities ensuring Service Delivery is maintained for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue. It involves the movement of fleet and equipment, servicing, and repairs to maintain operational response amongst other varied responsibilities. Whilst the work base is at Fire & Police HQ, Nettleham, the successful applicant will be expected to travel and work Countywide.
Working as part of a dynamic team, you will undertake support activities to ensure Service Delivery is maintained for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue. The role will involve the movement of fleet and equipment, servicing, and repairs to maintain operational response.
The maintenance and repair of operational equipment, personal protective equipment, and fire hydrants is a key aspect of the role, in addition there will be a requirement to carry out fire service estate maintenance and delivery and collection of items to premises and operational incidents.
The role involves a large amount of physical activity, including lifting and carrying of equipment and other items.
Whilst the work base is at Fire & Police HQ, Nettleham, the successful applicant will be expected to travel and work Countywide.
As part of this role, you will be expected to provide out of hours cover on an agreed rotational basis. You will be remunerated for this cover and hours worked in addition to the above salary.
Candidates should hold a current driving licence (cat B) and LGV (Cat C), (Cat B+E desirable but training may be given). The successful candidate must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team and have experience in the testing and servicing of a wide range of fire service equipment. In addition, they will be practically minded, have a good awareness of health and safety, possess good organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively when liaising with colleagues, members of the public and external agencies.

The successful candidate must pass Level 3 Lincolnshire Police Vetting and complete a Standard DBS before undertaking this role.
