About Bett
Bett is a dynamic and engaged online and live community that learns, trades and networks all year round. It is the world’s largest education technology event series and is the global meeting place for the education technology industry. With over 35 years of heritage, Bett provides a platform for innovation, dialogue, networking and global trade – bringing together exhibitors and visitors from around the world, physically and online, to buy, sell and make connections. The Bett global series is comprised of four physical events, in four continents, and an extensive suite of online activities that span the year and the globe. Globally, we welcome over 60,000 educators to our events and over 1200 technology providers.
Ahead is a new event for higher education leaders accelerating disruption. Co-located with Bett - the global community for education technology, Ahead offers the higher education community a forum for networking, challenging conventions and exploring new technologies
Now we’re looking for an Operations Co-ordinator to join our team.
Key responsibilities
  • Work alongside the operations team to deliver the event plan from pre-show planning to onsite delivery.

  • Assist the Operations Manager in updating and maintaining the exhibition floorplan, preparing and sending accurate exhibitor lists to contractors, maintaining the event manual and show documents.

  • Be the main point of contact for exhibitors and some contractors throughout the event cycle, providing high levels of customer service at all times.

  • Organise accommodation requirements for the show team.

  • Actively listen and identify customer needs and deliver excellent customer service at every interaction.

  • Work closely with other Operations coordinators on operational and administrative functions

  • Have an appreciation of the show budgeting system.

  • Understand and implement the Health & Safety systems both around the office and onsite.

  • Work with colleagues to achieve best practice in terms of operational planning and Customer Service.

  • Be proactive in exchanging information with other departments and provide assistance where requested.

  • Other ad-hoc duties as required to organise the show, alongside the wider operations team.

  • Ensure the smooth running and management of the onsite organiser’s office onsite at the show.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy, excellent administrative skills, a confident communicator, with the ability to prioritise.

  • Excellent time management – hard working with a sense of urgency.

  • A passion for event management and customer service.

  • Team player – get involved, it’s the best way to work together!

  • Computer literate, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
