Role Overview:
As an Operations Manager, you'll oversee the direct operation of three HRRCs/transfer stations. This includes line management of site managers and supervisors, and responsibility for recruitment, retention, training, and overall staff management. You'll also ensure the maintenance, operation, and proper record-keeping of infrastructure, equipment, and inventory. Safety is paramount, as you'll be in charge of health and safety protocols, risk assessments, and emergency procedures. Managing budgets and contracts, as well as ensuring compliance with statutory environmental and operational requirements, will be key aspects of your role.
What you’ll do:
Lead the contractual delivery of operations ensuring strong Health and Safety compliance.
Manage a team of up to 30 staff, with additional shared responsibility for up to 50 staff through contracted operations.
Oversee budgetary control of budgets up to £4 million annually, with a shared operational responsibility for a £52 million annual budget.
Cultivate sensitive stakeholder relationships

Salary: PO9 £61,375 to £69,342 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting)
36 hours per week. Core hours Monday – Friday. Leadership of a team working 7 days per week including bank holidays and weekends.
