We have a fantastic opportunity for a progressive and "hands-on" Operations Manager to join our growing organisation and lead on all things "F&B" at The Light. Reporting to the Operations Director this role would be accountable for all kitchens, bars and food service across the estate. This role would suit somebody with a proven track record in a high volume hospitality environment with a passion for both food and beverage.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, innovation and guest satisfaction therefore you should be openminded and armed with a broad range of F&B skills and experience from creating cocktails to implementing kitchen SOP's. You should be comfortable leading by example both front and back of house in order to ensure high standards are met across the whole business.

How we will keep you busy:

  • Full responsibility for food and beverage P&L across the company,
  • Responsibility for health & safety, food safety and allergen compliance in all F&B areas
  • Control of standard operations procedures for back and front of house,
  • Oversee kitchen & bar design and logistics for current venues and new openings to ensure of smooth service operation,
  • Monitor inventory processes and results, cost control and optimize pricing strategies to maximize revenue,
  • Ensure that all essential food, beverage and kitchen fundamentals are introduced, implemented and consistently maintained,
  • Management of all F&B related costs including wage budgets, stock & wastage and cost of goods.
  • Liaise with Operations Director regarding suppliers,
  • Advise on menu development and product range in collaboration to ensure our menus and products can be delivered with excellence and efficiency at all times
  • Support with the recruitment and development of all kitchen, bar and service team, fostering a positive work environment at all times,
  • Qualitative and quantitative monitoring of the venues,

Qualifications of successful candidate:

  • 3 - 5 years of an experience in similar role within a high volume hospitality business
  • Strong background in multisite operations management,
  • Passion for all things Hospitality,
  • Proven track of record in successful implementation of processes and improvements,
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as budgeting and financial management aptitude,
  • Excellent leadership abilities with demonstrable results of effective team management and achieving company goals,
  • Able to work autonomously as well as in large scale operations
  • Able to set and manage priorities,
  • Flexible and willing to embrace and respond to change effectively,
