Operations Manager

This individual will be accountable to and regularly report on operational performance. The Operations Manager is a proven operational professional ideally from the medical device industry whose energy, focus and determination are matched by well-developed departmental improvement, change management, people leadership and cross-functional skills.
Responsibilities of the Operations Manager
- Improve customer experience
- Increase stock efficiencies and effectiveness
- Alignment to business priorities
- Manage and lead operational employees, with responsibility for all operational staff
- Goal setting, performance reviews, role developments, training needs analysis, competencies & addressing of staff issues
- Recruit, manage and coach
- Supervise, motivate and monitor team performance
- Continuously analyse stock safety level and adjust accordingly (to optimize stock efficiencies)
- Monitor operational expenditure with General Manager
- Focusing on both building a high performing team whilst and improving operational effectiveness
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets
- Manage order to delivery whole lifecycle
- Demonstrate a ‘hands-on’ attitude to taking responsibility for the day-to-day business challenges
- Take up challenging opportunities, and be accountable for decision making
- Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the market, the value chain, applications, systems and processes, and end markets to exploit all available business opportunities
- Be able to interact with a wide internal and external stakeholder groups, representing Richard Wolf UK
- Be able to communicate to a high level, on every level
Education, Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 3 years' operational leadership experience required, with previous experience of a 1st line people management.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional operational role
- Demonstrated success in operational performance
- Can evidence success in improving operational efficiencies
- Can evidence success in managing down order to delivery time
- Proven in managing change
- Ability to plan, execute and deliver on projects
- Ability to work with creative people with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets
- Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication
- Willingness to go the “extra mile” for extraordinary growth
- Ability to overcome unexpected setbacks and issues
