If so, we are looking for a Operations Manager to join us, on a full time, permanent basis, to be based out of the Carlisle site managing our Crown contract.

The salary on offer will be up to £46,000. We also offer 25 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays, as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other benefits.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Liaising with external hauliers to maximise outbound schedule.
- Liaising with client’s health and safety team
- Liaising with other on-site contractors
- Responsibility for Administration of outbound and inbound
- Operation includes prepping materials at front end of manufacturing.
- The training and development of current team will be a major focus.
- Looking at potential for continuous improvement on the site
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Experience of warehouse management
- Managing 30 plus headcount
- Manufacturing experience preferable
- Health and Safety experience essential
- Training and development experience essential
- 3PL knowledge essential
- Budgetary experience essential
- Have strong people skills essential.
- Client management experience essential
- Experience of unionised site essential
- Transport knowledge preferable
- SAP knowledge preferable
