Operations Supervisor
Covering: Bristol to Heathrow M4 Corridor
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience
Days / Hours: Monday to Friday 0830 - 1730 hours
Location: Covering multiple sites throughout West London and along the M4 corridor to Bristol.

Our customer is a forward-thinking privately-owned company who are a leading provider of professional integrated bespoke security and facilities management services, giving their clients a flexible and scalable approach to addressing their security and FM requirements in their businesses across an array of sectors including educational settings, student accommodation, healthcare, charitable, corporate / estate management, warehouse / distribution, social housing, utilities, shopping centres / retail parks.
The Bristol to Heathrow M4 CorridorOperations Supervisor will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a group of key clients and contracts. You will have the opportunity to join the Operations Team in a role that will give significant exposure to senior members of the business and a steppingstone to becoming an operational manager of the future.
Key Responsibilities for the Operations Supervisor include:
- First point of contact for our Client
- Demonstrate experience of co-coordinating security team or services and full awareness of security related issues.
- Able to work out of hours to support service delivery needs if necessary.
- To undertake regular security scenario tests within your team as an active team member and work area to identify recommendations / improvements on all aspects of security.
- Provide guidance in the day-to-day management of security staff within a corporate environment, ensuring standards of dress, conduct and professionalism are exemplary.
- To conduct regular meetings to ensure all staff are briefed on day-to-day operations, site objectives, policies and procedures.
- Carry out monthly 1-2-1 meetings with the staff, to ensure growth and development of the team.
- Regular meetings with the management team to discuss team performance and general KPI performance.
- Ensure that all company documentation is completed as soon as possible following an incident or event.
- Assignment Instructions to be reviewed on a monthly basis with any potential changes to be referred to the Operations Manager first.
- Responsible for staff compliance to site Assignment Instructions by obtaining signed acknowledgement from all staff.
- Maintain sound knowledge of legislation.
- Ensure that all written/electronic reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, theft, suspicious activity or anti-social behaviour are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all site paperwork is accurate and up to date, which may include the record of lost property.
- Act as a liaison point for all emergency services, as directed by management.
- Provide the management with a weekly activity report every Monday.
- Build partnership relations with Police and other agencies.
- Report major issues; physical assaults, fire, flood, bomb evacuations to Operations Manager immediately.
- Ensure all records are maintained daily for Key Performance Indicators utilising incident report and other appropriate documentation.
- Compile rosters and issue at least one month in advance, and approve all holiday ensuring only one person is off at any time.
- Carry out thorough induction training of all staff new to the site, ensuring that the relevant documentation is signed off and sent to the HR department.
- Identify and report to the Operations Manager any shortfalls in performance or conduct of the team members, recommending any training or remedial action as appropriate.
- To ensure all staff are treated fairly and equally, in accordance with the company equal opportunity policy.
