The main purpose of this role is to effectively manage the Out of Hours service and the Out of Hours team to ensure that residents have access to quality support during evenings and overnight.
The person in this role will drive an open, transparent, friendly and caring culture that is focused on meeting the needs of residents, ensuring that the YMCA MK is a positive place for our young people. This role will effectively manage any challenging behaviour and will find ways to support any resident who faces crisis, either physically and mentally when Out of Hours.
They will also manage our Out of Hours team providing them with guidance which is supportive, empathetic and ensures their safety whilst on duty. As well as ensuring that they receive quality training and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with vulnerable adults in a relevant setting, with extensive experience in dealing with challenging behaviour. They will also have a background and understanding of delivering care which is person-centred, asset-based, and trauma informed. Experience of managing a team is a must and they will be able to demonstrate key management skills. Ideally, they will have previously worked in an Out of Hours role and will understand the challenges this brings both personally and to other team members.
This is a full-time role including 4 evenings between 5pm & 1am, including weekends and some bank holidays. The remainder of the time will be spent working closely with the day team to build a cohesive team as well as for attending managers meetings and training.
