P2P - Global Process Owner

Interim P2P Lead - £750pd outside IR35 - Insurance Group - London/ Remote (3 days onsite)
Our client, an insurance group with a global presence, is seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced P2P Lead as part of their finance transformation programme.
Position Overview:

As the P2P Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and optimizing the P2P process, ensuring that financial reporting, accounting, and compliance functions are streamlined and efficient. This position presents a unique opportunity to foster excellence and drive best practices within finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the end-to-end P2P process, overseeing financial accounting, reporting, and compliance activities within the firm.
· Develop and implement best-in-class processes and controls, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency within financial operations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align P2P processes with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
· Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the P2P function.
· Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to finance teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Extensive experience in finance leadership roles, particularly within the insurance industry or other professional services group, with a strong understanding of P2P processes.
· Proven track record of driving process improvements, system implementations, and optimizing financial operations within a dynamic and complex organizational setting.
· Strong technical proficiency in accounting standards, financial reporting, and ERP/financial systems.
· Excellent people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of fostering a customer-centric and results-driven culture within the P2P function.
Education and Certifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant professional certifications preferred).
