Position Overview:
They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Private Client Paralegal to join our team in Whetstone. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling a variety of Private Client matters and will be responsible for supporting our legal team in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Assist in drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents under the supervision of an attorney.
Manage probate and estate administration matters, including preparing applications for grants of probate/letters of administration, gathering asset information, and corresponding with beneficiaries.
Conduct legal research on various Private Client matters and prepare summaries for review by attorneys.
Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns related to estate administration and trusts.
Maintain accurate and organized client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.
Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting Private Client practice areas.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a paralegal in Private Client law, with a focus on estate planning, probate, and trusts.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures related to Private Client matters.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
