Part Time Hotel Receptionist

We are looking for Part Time Hotel Receptionists for our 4* - 18 bedroom family run hotel in Newington Edinburgh. We pride ourselves in customer service and guest retention therefor the ideal candidate will be well presented with a good grasp on the hospitality industry.

Must speak fluent English and must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.

This position is predominantly afternoon/evening and weekend work

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria

• minimum 1 years experience in hospitality
• a proven background in customer services
• excellent IT skills: outlook, word, excel, MS Office.
• good communication, numeracy & literacy
• well organised & presentable

Duties will include:

• Welcoming Guests
• Monitoring booking sites and updating rates and availability
• Handling Complaints and guest acknowledgements
• Opening and closing reception
• Cash handling and accounts
• Profit and loss sheets
• Hours would be predominately be afternoon to evening and weekend work
• Shift pattern - 8am - 3pm pm or 3pm till 11pm on weekends and weekends
• The acceptable candidate will be of a mature nature as will be responsible for opening and closing the hotel and working alone in sole charge in the managers absence
• Morning Shifts on Breakfast service and front of house may apply

All Training provided - candidates must have experience in the hotel industry and customer service

Pay rate from £10 to £12 per hour depending on age, experience and ability
