Adecco are currently recruiting for a Part Time Library Assistant to join a prestigious university based in Holborn
Salary: £16.01
Duration: ASAP - 8 Weeks (high potential of being extended)
Hours: 9.30-5.30 two days a week. Preferably, the days to be worked will be Wednesday and Friday.

Roles and Responsibilities
Library Access Services is responsible for delivering a range of services to support people's use of the Library, including membership services, lending services, use of the Archives & Special Collections Reading Room and ensuring ease of access for students with disabilities across the range of services.
Answer standard enquires relating to Library:
o information resources including the library and archives catalogue, resource discovery tools, e-resources and print collections;
o services including lending and facilitation of self -services, opening hours, membership
o facilities including Visitor & Data PCs, locker hire and IT facilities
Resolving problems for users relating to Library services and facilities
- Provision of accessible services for users with a range of disabilities
- Deal with Archives enquiries, reading room bookings and supervision of the archives Reading Room
- Undertake other duties in support of the work of the Library may as may be required, particulary as services develop and change
Specific Responsibilities
Membership Services
- Process applications for Library, Archives and Secure Dara access including making provision for reciprocal access schemes, overseas researchers and members of the public.
- Verify and record information about the Library users on School systems as part of the registration process.
- Issue Library membership passes to enable access during advertised opening hours.
Reader Services enquiries and provision of services
- Answer more complex enquiries concerning the services and facilities that are managed by the Reader Services Team including the Archives and special collections reading room, lending and ensuring efficient circulation of materials, locker hire, additional provision for students and part-time students and services for users with disabilities.
Other Specialist Services
- Administering provision of Library lockers for hard to reach and disabled students and other users
- Administer online services, such as visitor application processes.
- Providing support for users with disabilities including a buddying service and provision for fetching from the shelves as well as creation of alternative formats
