An opportunity has arisen in the Marketing and Communications department for a part time Partnership Activation Manager, working 21 hours per week.
About The Kennel Club
Formed in 1873, The Kennel Club exists to make a positive difference for dogs and their owners. Our key areas of activity include:
Helping potential dog owners find the right dog for them, and work with the dog breeding community to ensure those dogs are healthy and happy.
Supporting dog owners to access high quality training and pet insurance and provide a range of advice and support to help ensure the ongoing wellbeing of dogs.
Working with breeders, judges, competitors and exhibitors to organise world-class events and to develop the resources they need to thrive.
The primary objective of The Kennel Club is to improve in every way the welfare, health, and general wellbeing of all dogs throughout their lives, by means of various research and educational programmes, and our Charitable Trust.
What the role of the Partnership Activation Manager involves:
This is a pivotal role within the Marketing and Communications department. The role offers the right candidate the opportunity to make a positive tangible impact on the growth of The Kennel Club brand through its partnership programme. This role is responsible for the development of marketing strategies to support the engagement of the organisation’s important partnership relationships, leveraging the levers which deliver business and audience growth. This is a broad role with many touch points across events, digital and brand partnership.
Work collaboratively with the wider marketing team to ensure we maximise opportunities for storytelling across core marketing communication channels.
Curate, deliver and monitor marketing plans and campaigns against pre-defined benchmarks to ensure success.
Ensure that the budgets, goals and marketing commitments developed for each client are being met and are increasing business opportunities.
Ensuring an exceptional client / partner experience by managing and fulfilling sponsorship and partnership accounts.
Planning coordinating, and executing sponsor events including promotions, paid media, ‘in event’ activation.
Management of the partnerships budget.
Be an ambassador for the brand partnership.
The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced, with proven credentials in delivering partnership programmes and optimising sponsorship activations.
Data driven mind-set (Google Analytics, customer segmentation and data-driven marketing techniques) with a focus on customer acquisition, data analysis scaling through online touchpoints.
Have experience in shaping social strategies (paid and owned / earned) which support commercial objectives, ideally with experience in identifying and onboarding ambassadors.
Experience in both inbound and outbound marketing strategies.
Experience across the full Google Suite (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Display Network); Meta Suite, Hotjar.
An expert in SEO with the ability to understand and implement reporting insights from agencies and tools such as semrush to ensure content is delivered against organic search KPI’s.
Have experience with PPC / Search and SEO.

Our ideal candidate should be collaborative and build relationships easily whilst being action orientated and solutions focused. You must be able to manipulate data and analyse the statistics, particularly on Google Analytics and have the ability to report on data to find solutions and underperforming areas. Attention to detail with exceptional organisation and project management skills will be essential.
