Job Description
Reporting into the Payments Data Analytics Manager; you will be part of the Digital Risk team. You will help to work with various data sets to help identify trends and provide learnings and reporting on ecommerce payments performance.
Within the role you will produce, analyse and validate regular reporting based on the varied data sets from within the ecommerce payments world.
The output of this work will support the Digital risk team in ensuring that fraud is kept to a minimum, customer journeys are as friction free as possible and deliver industry leading levels of payments acceptance.
Working with the wider digital risk team you will also receive training to occasionally support the payment fraud team directly in analysing suspect transactions in order to ensure that fraudulent transactions are rejected, genuine transactions approved, and chargebacks are responded to robustly.
Qualifications
Essential
- Interest in Payments, ecommerce and data
- Intermediate level of Excel skills
- Conversant with the other MS Office applications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Motivated with a pro-active can-do attitude
- Flexibility and a willingness to undertake varied responsibilities with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Inquisitive nature with an attention to detail
- Strong interest in self-development and a desire to develop further in the data analytics world
- Degree or equivalent level of education or work experience in a relevant business area
Desirable
- Basic coding experience (SQL)
- Experience of business intelligence, data visualisation or ecommerce platforms(Power BI, Looker, Tableau)
- Interest/experience in loss prevention, fraud or Card Holder Not Present transactions
- eCommerce or retail experience
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Understanding of data protection issues
