An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Strategy and Policy Team for a dynamic and committed individual to support the Council’s performance management and strategic planning.
You will analyse, interpret, visualise, report and present data and information to assist the council to understand its Performance and to inform strategic planning. Maintenance and development of the Council’s performance management system will also be a key part of the role.

What will I be doing:
· Production of regular performance reports, including combining performance information with budget monitoring data.
· Provision of analysis, interpretation and visualisation of data, ensuring accuracy with appropriate context and relevant comparisons.
· Maintenance anddevelopment of the Corporate Performance Management System to meet the requirements of the council and users.
· Support for the review of performance by senior management teams through preparation of presentations and briefings.
· Support for the development of Strategic Plans and liaison across the Council to provide reports on progress.

What skills and experience do you need to have:
· Be enthusiastic, versatile and self-motivated with the ability to work well as part of a team
· Confidence to work under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously
· Educated to HND or equivalent in a numerate discipline or have extensive experience working with relevant software systems and and Data and information reporting
· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with attention to detail
· Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to utilise dashboard generation and geographical systems

Our Strategy team is contractually based in Matlock, Derbyshire, but as part of our Modern Ways of Working programme we are currently working on a hybrid basis of a minimum of one day in the office each week. There'll be an opportunity to discuss future working arrangements at interview.
