Job description

Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Location: Daventry

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Working Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday

An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated individual to join our rapidly expanding payroll bureau in Daventry. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely client payroll services, ranging from Sole Directors to complex high-value payrolls with significant variable pay components. Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering client payroll with precision and adherence to agreed timetables.
  • Develop, maintain, optimize, and deploy effective payroll processes and controls.
  • Collate monthly & weekly payroll data within specified timeframes and authorization guidelines.
  • Reconciliation of costings.
  • Support the seamless transfer of payroll for new clients.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc payroll projects.
  • Assist in P11ds and PSA.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Troubleshoot and handle internal and external queries.
  • Perform client-specific duties, including European payroll data management.

Desirable Professional Skills:

  • Payroll knowledge.
  • Familiarity with payroll software.
  • Auto Enrolment knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Iris, QBO, and Xero payroll (preferable).

Desirable Education/Qualifications:

  • CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate (not essential, Training can be funded)
