Payroll Assistant

I am pleased to be working with an excellent, family run business based in Neston who are looking for a part time Payroll Assistant to join their friendly Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the in-house weekly payroll, working alongside HR to effectively manage sick pay and absences.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Weekly payrolls for all pubs, ensuring all employees are paid correctly
• Processing new starters and leavers
• Managing staff attendance, sick pay and absences
• Preparing and posting payroll journal
• Monitoring and dealing with emails in the payroll inbox

Desirable skills and experience

• Previous payroll experience, processing a payroll of 150+ employees.
• Attention to detail
• IT literate
• Excel knowledge
• MS Word
• Sage Payroll
• Strong communications skills
