Are you a Payroll Manager, looking to work within a fast growing Top 70 Firm based in London? Are you looking to work within a vibrant and social environment for a firm that has a great reputation within the accountancy practice market?
Our client is one of the UK's leading mid-tier firms, with over 140 staff and an office in the city. They provide services to a wide range of both national and international clients, including Technology, Real Estate & Investment funds, FS, Sports & Entertainment and Not-For-Profit. The firm has a great retention of staff, as shown by their home-grown, long-serving partners.
They are looking for a Payroll Manager who will manage all aspects of the firm's clients payroll, ensuring all payrolls are produced on a timely basis. You will be responsible for managing 2 junior colleagues, as well as driving the progression of the team, through technical improvements, and L&D.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of a variety of frequency payrolls between 1-200 employees per client.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the sole point of contact
- Leading the coordination efforts between payroll and client contacts/ departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
- Reviewing changes for proper authorisation and adhere to HMRC compliance.
- Communication effectively with clients; raising queries, enhancing efficiency, and building rapport.
- Ensuring clients produce payrolls on a timely basis and making sure all deadlines are met.
- Ensuring that all legislative requirements are complied with whilst maintaining payroll knowledge.
The successful candidate will:
- Ideally have an excellent working knowledge of the Star payroll system.
- Have a strong ability to use and understand the flow of transactions in standalone payroll systems.
- Be experienced within a similar practice environment
- Have 3+ years' experience at a Senior/Managerial level within Payroll
