A fantastic opportunity to join this public sector organisation based in North Manchester. They are rapidly growing and are looking for an experienced and organised Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will report directly to the payroll manager and, in their absence, you need to be able to work alone and show initiative.
Your new role
In your new role, you will run the payroll on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of employee payroll calculations, working under pressure to meet internal and external deadlines. You will process monthly starters and leavers and make amendments to any contractual changes, whilst also process any pension related changes/returns within the required timeframe. You will act as the main contact for internal stakeholders/employees providing them with any knowledge around pay queries or general legislation queries.
What you\'ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess strong critical thinking skills, have the ability to work independently as well collaborate on team projects. You will have a professional demeanour, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Good interpersonal and communicative skills and excellent attention to detail. Essential skills minimum of 2 years' experience within Payroll or CIPP level 3 above qualified. I-Trent system is desirable.
