Description
The key responsibilities of a Payroll Officerwill include, but may not be limited to;
- Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
- Contribute to the team's effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Stay updated on current regulations and policies affecting payroll procedures
- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages
Profile
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- Not for Profit and Charities background
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to commute to Bury
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
