In this interesting and varied role you will be supporting the Learning and Development administration team across the force. This role is essential to ensure Thames Valley Police are able to support the training of all new and current Officers and Staff.

Your duties will cover a wide range of administration tasks including booking training venues, logging trainees onto their relevant courses, supporting trainers and Sergeants to organise and record essential training, book guest speakers, organise attestations and support your Line Manager and colleagues with the day to day tasks that arise at a busy training centre.

The role is based at the Sulhamstead Training Centre in Theale, and due to the lack of public transport, it is essential you are able to drive to the workplace.

This post will require an approachable, flexible, fair and professional attitude, with the ability to be creative and passionate about delivering a quality service to Staff, Officers, internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail is crucial as well as the ability to problem solve, use your initiative, be able to juggle a number of different tasks and make appropriate decisions.

You will have recent experience of working in an administrative and customer facing role. Working under pressure and to deadlines, along with proven computer skills and the ability to interrogate and accurately input data from a variety of sources. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

As part of the Thames Valley Police family you will enjoy a fantastic range of benefits including 24 days annual leave per annum, pro-rata for Part Time (plus Bank Holidays), flexible working conditions, a wide range of lifestyle discounts, career development opportunities and have the option to join a local government pension scheme.
