Personal Assistant required to support a 13-year-old autistic boy who lives in Falmouth.
He is looking for someone he can build a trusting relationship with and who can provide him with some regular one-to-one support.
He can become easily overwhelmed, leading to heightened anxiety, frustration and low mood. A Personal Assistant would support him to access activities and to learn life skills in the home and in the local community.
He loves cooking food from around the world, and he loves trying new cuisines.
Hourly rate: £12.00 per hour plus expenses.
Seven hours per week are available, although this is very flexible. Some weekends and school holiday availability will be required.
Car driver and access to own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with SEND is a distinct advantage.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check; this administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
