Job Description: As a Full-Time Pizzaiolo at Knead Pizza, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas to perfection. Your primary focus will be creating exceptional pizzas that consistently delight our customers. You will work closely with the kitchen team, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and hand-stretch pizza dough, ensuring consistent thickness and texture.
Create delicious and visually appealing pizzas by evenly distributing toppings and cheese.
Operate and maintain the pizza oven, maintaining optimal temperatures for baking.
Monitor cooking times and remove pizzas from the oven at the right moment to ensure perfect crusts.
Prepare and portion ingredients, such as sauces, cheese, and toppings, for efficient pizza assembly.
Follow standardized recipes and procedures to maintain consistency in pizza quality.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate pizza orders and minimize wait times.
Assist with inventory management, ensuring an adequate supply of ingredients for daily operations.
Stay updated on current culinary trends and techniques, suggesting innovative pizza creations.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo or similar role, preferably in a high-volume pizzeria.
Strong knowledge of pizza dough preparation, stretching, and baking techniques.
Proficiency in hand-tossing and shaping pizzas, ensuring consistent thickness and size.
Familiarity with different pizza styles and their respective cooking methods (e.g., Neapolitan, New York-style).
Ability to operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring optimal temperature and cooking conditions.
Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
