Due to recent growth, Millwall Community Trust are seeking a UEFA qualified coach to start work immediately on their successful Post 16 Football and Education Programme.
The role will involve coaching the Post 16 squads on Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays as well as supporting a lead coach on a Wednesday, playing against other pro clubs in the EFL league, producing Individual Player Development Plans (IDPs) for players and recording/analysing all games via our VEO camera.
The coach must also be available to deliver and support on Millwall CT’s Player Performance Pathway, a unique Development Centre aiming to identify and develop players for the main club’s academy (Tuesdays and Fridays, 4:30-6pm each day).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver progressive sessions which help develop the players individually and as a team
· Drive the mini bus to away games (Do not need a D1 but must have current driving license) when required
· Record & help analyse games, offering constructive feedback to players/squad to improve performance
· Work as part of a small coaching, ensuring players stay up-to-date with their studies and act as a mentor
· Oversee, coach and drive up the standards of the Player Performance Pathway, organising staff and contributing session plans to match the curriculum (including completing IDPs)
· Contribute to the recruitment of new players by delivering trials and taster sessions in local secondary schools
· Attend open evenings and answering queries from potential players/parents
· Help organise all match day equipment and ensure all kit is collected and washed after every game
· Any other duties required by the Football Development Manager
Person Specification
Essential:
· UEFA C (Level 2) Coaching Qualification
· Proven experience of coaching 16-19 years old players
· Current Driving License
· Experience of using VEO and analysing games effectively
· Up-to-date FA safeguarding & First aid qualifications
· Experience of working within Development Centres
· Computer literate
· Driven to succeed and ‘can do’ approach
Nice to have:
· UEFA B/A Licence
· Professional football academy experience
· Previous Post 16 Academy experience
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Salary: £1,000.00-£1,200.00 per month
