As a School Premises Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, maintenance, and efficient operation of the school premises. Your responsibilities will encompass compliance checks, general caretaking duties, and security measures.
School Premises Manager Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Upkeep:
- Collaborate with the facilities team to maintain and enhance the school’s facilities.
- Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Prioritize Health and Safety protocols in all aspects of premises management.
- Undertake general maintenance tasks across various disciplines (plumbing, electrical, fabric).
- Address repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Manage a rolling maintenance program based on school priorities and risk assessments.
- Ensure the security of the entire school site.
- Provide event support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and the wider community.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Possess a good standard of DIY skills for maintenance and repairs.
- Be a reliable problem solver who can work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and a team player.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work on your own initiative
