Job description

As our Pricing Director, every day you will lead a team of 6 direct reports, overseeing pricing, structuring, load management, and profitability analysis for Engie Resources (Supply) retail power and/or natural gas. Leveraging diverse data sources, you'll identify opportunities, propose solutions, and generate actionable insights to support sales, pricing, and load activities. This person with reports to the VP Natural Gas Supply.

 

 

  • Research complex business problems to identify opportunities and propose actionable solutions for pricing and load management activities
  • Support the development and enhancement of models and system platforms to facilitate pricing and load management
  • Analyze customer usage and product features to determine appropriate product structures and pricing, ensuring compliance with Engie Resources guidelines
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on customer load characteristics, cost components, and regulatory issues to enhance competitiveness and profitability
  • Utilize analytical techniques on large datasets to analyze customer buying behavior, competitive trends, and profitability across various segments
  • Support new product development by coordinating with internal functional groups and interfacing directly with sales to facilitate deal lifecycle facilitation and personnel training

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics or Computer Science
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ of work-related experience in Retail Energy industry, or quantitative disciplines
  • You are proficient in problem-solving, with strong analytical and statistical skills, capable of conveying complex technical analysis to senior leadership
  • You have a deep understanding of energy market fundamentals, including customer usage properties and pricing methodologies
  • You are highly knowledgeable and proficient in MS Excel, with experience in writing code for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and management using VBA, SQL, Python, and Microsoft Power BI
  • You possess strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, coupled with a high level of attention to detail
  • You are adept at oral and written communication, able to think logically, reason clearly, and effectively manage tight deadlines and stressful situations

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of two (2) days working in office.
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing 
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $134,820 – $196,765 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
