An award winning London based Train Operator require a strategic Commercial Pricing Manager, to streamline marketing strategies, and align competitive ticket pricing for optimal revenue.

An opportunity for a strategic Commercial Pricing Manager has arisen, to use their technical commercial knowledge be accountable for the pricing structure of a major London based Rail industry player. Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepare pricing recommendations to maximise revenue and support the company’s growth and customer satisfaction targets.
- Manage the fares implementation process within Fares Setting Round timetables ensuring compliance with business strategy and regulation.
- Maintain our client's fares and ticketing data, removing fare anomalies and simplifying the presentation of data visible to customers.
- Ensure retail staff are briefed on fares changes and address fare queries that arise.
- Understand and manage fares agreements with third parties and the earnings allocations derives from inter-TOC revenue allocation processes.
- Support and advise the wider Commercial team in the development and implementation of new products, price promotions, and yield managed initiatives.
- Understand the price sensitivity of our client's market, report the commercial impact of pricing initiatives, and inform our client's revenue forecasting and demand management activities.
Essentials Criteria:
- Educated to degree level in a commercial or numerate discipline
- A thorough understanding of rail industry fares and ticketing
- Excellent analytical skills with a superior attention to detail
- Computer literate, and competent in using Excel and Word
- Confident, with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with colleagues and other business stakeholders
- Knowledge of the industry’s fares setting, revenue reporting and allocation systems
- A working knowledge of rail passenger demand forecasting.
