Job description

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an experienced auditor to join our growing and developing team. A full-time post on a 12-month fixed term contract is on offer with the scope to become permanent. We will consider applications for part time.

The successful candidate will have oversight of a team of senior auditors and be an integral part of our delivery.

The ideal applicant will have experience from either the public or private sectors along with a proven track record in delivering audits.  Line management experience will be an advantage but is not essential as training and support will be provided. Key skills for the role include a high degree of organisation, delivering attention to detail, an inquisitive yet professional manner along with excellent communication skills.  Full training and support on our quality and delivery methods will be provided.

Lincolnshire County Council has a hybrid approach to working, which is a mix of working from home and the office.  We offer a range of corporate discounts and a generous pension scheme. We offer a salary of £40,221 - £44,428 for full time hours (37 hours a week). This would be pro-rata for part time hours. The expectation is that staff are in the office in line with management requirements and to ensure effective delivery across the team.

The role is based in Lincoln with the majority of delivery being based there, however you may be expected to deliver across our Lincolnshire based service areas.  A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

If this sounds like your potential next step, please contact the Audit Manager, Sara Jackson  (sara.jackson@lincolnshire.gov.uk) who will be happy to share more about this exciting opportunity.

Candidates are strongly advised to complete a Cover Letter in addition to their CV demonstrating the skills and experience required for this role.

Applications close 30 June 2024

Interviews planned to take place on week commencing 8 July 2024

Please be advised that this position may be subject to a criminal record check.
