A global pharmaceutical organisation are currently recruiting for a Process Chemist / Senior Process Chemist to join their facility based in Cork on a permanent basis.
The core function of the role will be to provide Process Chemistry support for existing and new processes.
You will be expected to acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the chemistry of relevant processes, participate in detailed technical risk assessments, actively contribute to development initiatives, and coordinate input into the Technology Transfer process.
You will prepare technical documentation to support manufacturing (i.e.
Manufacturing Batch Records, SOPs, PQ protocols and reports, CMC chemistry descriptions, training material etc.).
You will lead and seek approval for process changes, carry out investigations of all quality and yield issues, liaise with customers to ensure all issues are handled and provide technical support for Capital engineering projects relating to new products, existing products and major process re-development.
Additionally a Senior Process Chemist is recognised as the main point of contact for all technical aspects of a product.
You would be accountable at site level and with clients.
You will maintain accountability through product lifecycle, lead in the assessment of product quality impact, establish key relationships within site across Operations, Technical, Quality and Engineering.
Provide technical leadership and input into root cause analyses to support the investigation and resolution of product complaints and deviations.

To be considered for the role candidates will need to be Degree educated in chemistry or a related field.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact across teams and with clients is required, along with prior industrial experience.
Experience in supporting API plant processes would be desirable.
