Operations Team is looking to fill the role of Process Engineerin their West Yorkshire facility based in Castleford.
At Castleford site, we combine our in depth-knowledge of recycling with our ground-breaking technology. Our goal is to repurpose plastic for the greater good.
This role will be focused on all production within the IPL Brightgreen site, identifying opportunities for improvement in the key areas Man, Machine, Environment etc. to ensure that site assets are utilised fully and correctly.
Main duties and tasks:
- Continual development of production processes in line with business needs
- Working with all stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of NPD
- Identification of opportunities for improvement and implementation of solutions to leverage these
- Training and development on new processes with all stakeholders
- Identification of skills gaps on existing processes and creation of training materials to suit, up to and including roll out
- Lead cascade training for areas identified, and regularly reviewing the effectiveness of this training and its subsequent implementation, regularly reporting back to senior management on its level of success
- Actively identify opportunities for improvements, short, medium, and long term; logging these and lead the closing out of actions with relevant departments
- Identify opportunities for SMED, implement solutions, log and publish successes
- Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the current processes, identify areas for improvement and implement robust workable systems to improve these
- Able to lead events with operations and technical staff to determine root causes with a view to presenting opportunities and working with other team members where required to implement engineered solutions
- Perform reasonable requests from supervisor or manager in agile manufacturing environment to promote teamwork
