AA Euro Group has been retained to recruit a Procurement Administrator for a large Residential Developer in Cork. The Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Manager, with all associated buying administration & act as a point of contact.
The successful candidate will also enhance value for money while ensuring that all projects meet legal and quality assessment, budgetary, legal and regulatory requirements are achieved.
Duties:
- Support the Procurement manager with all administration requirements.
- Point of contact for both supplier, and all internal purchasing queries.
- Manage key supplier relationships through consistent appraisal and review.
- Liaise with Site Foremen across several residential and commercial construction sites, throughout the day to ascertain their supply needs and take action accordingly.
- Raise purchase orders as required, and ensure they are received by appropriate suppliers.
- Process material orders in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain value adding partnerships and relationships for the good of the business in terms of products and services – optimising price, technical specifications, quality and on-time delivery.
- Follow up on order delays & errors, to find a solution and prevent recurring issues.
- Promptly resolve AP queries and make amendments to PO’s as necessary.
- Assemble pricing packages from various suppliers for comparative purposes
- Negotiate rates and pricing blocks with key suppliers as required
- Compile and maintain library of prices on coins
- Data entry of new suppliers & products to system
- Set up of new schemes/projects on Coins in conjunction with the Procurement Manager
- Maintain files on all projects to include the contract, all correspondence, changes, amendments, clarifications and payment schedules.
- Support the Procurement manager providing info on certified products new to the market
- Participate in project meetings when required to ensure that all commercial and contract procedures are properly implemented.
- Ensure prompt response and resolution of all queries received from senior management.
Experience:
- The candidate will have previous experience in purchasing and in the construction industry.
- Detail oriented individual with effective time management skills, who will take accountability for their role is essential.
- Must demonstrate ability to work on their own initiative and be able to prioritise in a fast paced environment.
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years experience.
