Role: Procurement and Contracts Officer
Location: Staffordshire - Ad hoc presence in the office
Type: Permanent
Salary: £33k to £35k
Sellick Partnership are looking to appoint to a Procurement and Contracts Officer for our Public Sector client based in Staffordshire.
Job Purpose:
- To support with the delivery of Procurement Projects, requests for quotations, mini competitions, review of contracts, and updating contract information
- Support the Procurement Manager in working closely with the current supplier of procurement services to ensure a smooth handover and transition of bringing the service back in house.
- There will be a key focus on working collaboratively with the business and establishing those crucial links with colleagues and suppliers.
Main responsibilities for the Procurement and Contracts Officer:
- Support the Procurement Manager with the procuring and implementing contracts.
- Supporting the sourcing and negotiation of terms with suppliers
- Assist with preparing tender documents.
- Assist with the production of contract documents.
- To support with the procurement strategy and policy
- Support with evaluating tender options.
- Stakeholder engagement
- To review contracts and ensure they are authorised.
- To support with procurement risk management
Person Specification for the Procurement and Contracts Officer:
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Experience of drawing up and reviewing contracts
- The ability to work collaboratively.
