ABOUT THE ROLE
Procurement Assistant (fixed-term) – hybrid role with both office-based and homeworking
£24,100 per annum
This is a fixed-term role from 13 May 2024 until 18 July 2025
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Head Office team as a Procurement Assistant.
We are looking for a passionate individual who will deliver a first-class support service to internal stakeholders and our external supply chain in a fast-paced Procurement Department.
Reporting to the Procurement Support Manager, you will maintain, support, and enhance the day-to-day running of the Procurement function, utilising the Procure to Pay system.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and a flexible approach. Excellent organisation skills are key to accommodate the range of processes within the role, along with strong verbal and written communication skills as you will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
HOURS OF WORK
This is a fixed-term role from 13 May 2024 until 18 July 2025
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.
Please note this is a hybrid role with both office-based and homeworking.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organisation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative
- Previous administrative experience
- Adaptable working approach and ability to multi-task
- PC literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Intermediate Excel skills
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) English and Maths
Desirable requirements:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Previous experience of working within a Procurement Department
- Previous experience of using Internet based Procurement systems
